What is a Rainy Reward?
A free treat for turning up on a rainy day
A Rainy Reward is an offer from a local venue that switches on when rain is forecast. A free coffee, a two for one, a little something to get you out of the house when the weather is against you. You join once, and the rewards come to you whenever the forecast turns.
Rainy Reward venues

How it works
Three steps, then it just happens in the background.
Create your free account
Sign up in the Rainy Refunds app. You need a free account to claim a reward, and once you have one you start seeing the rewards near you straight away.
We watch the morning forecast
Each morning we check the Met Office forecast for your area. When enough rain is forecast for the day, participating venues switch their reward on.
Pop in and claim
When a reward is live you will see it in your account. Go to the venue that day, within its redemption hours, and show the reward from the app to claim your treat.
Common questions
Joining Rainy Rewards is free. You become a member in the Rainy Refunds app and start seeing the rewards near you.
Yes. Rewards are claimed from the Rainy Refunds app, so you need a free account. Once you have one, every live reward near you shows up ready to redeem at the venue.
The forecast. We use the Met Office morning forecast, so you know early in the day whether a reward is on. You do not have to wait for it to actually rain.
Each venue sets a rain trigger, an amount of rain forecast over part of the day. We check the Met Office forecast every morning, and if it crosses that venue's trigger the reward is live for the whole day.
You redeem from your Rainy Refunds account, so you will need to have signed up in the app first (it is free). When a reward is live you will see it in the app. Go to the venue that day, within its redemption hours, and show the reward to claim it.
