By Alex HallUpdated

If you have searched for the Victorious weather, you are months early for a forecast and right on time for cover. This page explains what a Rainy Refund does at Victorious 2027, an August weekend on Southsea Common, what counts as rain on your day, and what happens on the day.

What is a Rainy Refund?

A Rainy Refund is rain cover for one day of Victorious. If the Met Office forecast for Southsea Common passes the agreed rainfall trigger when Rainy Refunds checks it on the morning of the day you have covered, it pays out automatically. There is no claim to make and no form to fill in. It is cover for a wet forecast, not a ticket refund from the event.

Does it rain at Victorious?

Nobody can say what 27 to 29 August 2027 will bring. Rainy Refunds publishes no rainfall history or predictions for Southsea Common. It settles on the Met Office forecast at a fixed moment, so the result is decided by one number on one morning. Cover closes on 6 August 2027, three weeks before the first day, so the decision is never a guess about the sky.

The cover in detail

Every figure here is the cover for Victorious 2027, taken from the Rainy Refunds record:

  • Dates: 27 to 29 August 2027 at Southsea Common, The Circle, Southsea, Portsmouth
  • Cover: one day per policy, your choice of day
  • Rainfall trigger: 4.5 mm
  • Cover window: 12:00 to 20:00
  • Check time: from 09:00 on the day you cover, as soon as the Met Office morning forecast is published
  • Buy cover by: 6 August 2027

The cover is settled on the Met Office forecast at the check, and on nothing else. From 09:00 on the day you have covered, Rainy Refunds reads the Met Office morning forecast for Southsea Common for the window from 12:00 to 20:00. If that forecast is for 4.5 mm of rain or more, getting on for two hours of moderate rain, the cover pays out. If it is for less, it does not.

How it works on the day

  1. From 09:00, as soon as the Met Office publishes its morning forecast, Rainy Refunds takes the forecast for Southsea Common for 12:00 to 20:00.
  2. The forecast is compared with the 4.5 mm trigger. At or above it, the cover pays out. Below it, the cover ends without a payout.
  3. If it pays out, the money is sent to you automatically.

You do not need to do anything that morning. The check happens whether or not you are awake, and a forecast that changes afterwards does not alter the outcome in either direction. That is what makes the result quick and certain.

Why it exists

A weekend on the seafront is planned months ahead, and the weather on the Solent is the one part nobody can arrange. Rainy Refunds exists so that a wet forecast does not also mean a wasted spend. The cover is simple on purpose: one trigger, one window, one check.

Before you buy

Cover must be bought by 6 August 2027, before any forecast for either day exists. Choose the day you want to cover, check that the trigger and the window suit your plans, and buy it in the Rainy Refunds app.

Rainy Refunds is here so that if the forecast does pass the trigger for Victorious 2027, you are looked after without lifting a finger.
